BFI London Film Festival: ‘Free Fire’ – Red Carpet

Ben Wheatley‘s much-anticipated film ‘Free Fire‘ closed the BFI London Film Festival at the Closing Night Gala.

Massachusetts late ‘70s. Justine (Brie Larson) has brokered a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two Irishmen (Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley) and a gang led by Vernon (Sharlto Copley) and Ord (Armie Hammer) who are selling them a stash of guns. But when shots are fired in the handover, a heart stopping game of survival ensues. The movie is produced by Andrew Starke for Rook Films, and is backed by Film4 and the British Film Institute.

Cillian Murphy, Arnie Hammer, Sharlto Copley, Jack Reynor and Bean Wheatley walked the red carpet of the Odeon Leicester Square theatre on October 16, 2016.

Arnie Hammer was suited and booted for the event posing proudly alongside his his wife Elizabeth Chambers. Elizabeth, 34, showed off her bump in a beautiful emerald green gown .

Arnie‘s co-star Jack Reynor was accompanied to the event by his partner Madeline Mulqueen dressed in a gold gown.

Cillian Murphy made fans go wild appearing at the red carpet in a smart suit.


Sharlto Copley was putting in an appearance with model Tanit Phoenix in a stunning red dress.


Ben Wheatley confessed  “I’m very proud to be showing FREE FIRE at the BFI London Film Festival. To be the closing film is a great honour. LFF have been fantastic in supporting the films I’ve made (me and an army of 100s) and I can’t wait to show FREE FIRE to the Festival audience!”
