Winners of the 71st Annual Tony Awards hosted by Kevin Spacey

The 71st Annual Tony Awards went down Sunday night, June 11, and was hosted by Kevin Spacey. The actor, who is a Tony-winner himself, took over from James Corden, who hosted the ceremony last year when musical Hamilton won 11 awards. The  2017 ceremony aired live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Dear Evan Hansen won the big prize for Best Musical, with its lead Ben Platt winning for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical. Actress Bette Midler took home the coveted award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her title role in Hello, Dolly! while the musical itself got Best Revival of a Musical award, respectively, with Midler giving a memorable speech.

New drama Oslo by J.T. Rogerswon won the Tony Award for Best Play while August Wilson’s Jitney received a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.
